Exceptions cheat sheet โ
A quick look at the places where Agazan breaks one of its own patterns. Each row gives the usual pattern, the words that break it, and a link to the page that teaches them.
-n that is not a name โ
On a content word, the ending -n marks a name: this person, place, work, or brand, not a kind of thing (word endings). These closed word families also end in -n without naming anything:
| Words | What -n does there | Example |
|---|---|---|
| special pronouns, the generic pronoun, and the topic pronoun | the usual ending on these person words | zamun I, zoben one, zozan the topic |
| stand-ins | -rn (single vowel) or -n (stacked vowel) names a kind of sentence content (statement, question, command, prohibition); on /v/, the matching response verb | darn a statement, varn state |
join words with a /v/, /x/, /ษก/, or /h/ first letter | join content: a join-act verb, clause sequence, or a join-relation | van include, xan and then, gan including |
These still count as names:
| Words | Why it is still a name |
|---|---|
a phrase join under /z/, /d/, or /b/ | -n titles the bundle (titled phrases) |
| a hook | -n titles a proper-name phrase (titled phrases) |
| a number word | -n is a conventional designation, such as an official label or the Second (number-word exception) |
